Who is Mrs. Denise Sneath?
I was born and raised in Fremont, California, but I have been a resident of Discovery Bay for 16 wonderful years. I love the small town feel of this community and especially love the 5-minute commute to work! I am married and have two children. My son CJ is a Liberty graduate and is heading to college in August, and Daisy is a sophomore at Liberty. I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, and traveling. I am extremely active and even earned my second-degree black belt! You may even spot me riding my purple beach cruiser around town.
My teaching career began in a preschool setting while attending college many years ago, and after a long break from teaching, I realized that my true passion was in education. I returned to school and earned my Multiple Subjects Teaching Credential in December 2004 and completed my Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction in November 2006. I began my career at Discovery Bay Elementary on January 6, 2003, as the special education teacher. I taught 3rd grade for 4 wonderful years and, I am already enjoying my seventh year in 5th grade.
I look forward to living, learning, and teaching in this community for many years. I have an open-door policy in my classroom and encourage parents to contact me at any time regarding their children’s educational and emotional needs. I will work hard to ensure that this is a successful, safe, and fun year for each child in my classroom!
