I am looking forward to another year educating 3rd grade students.  I have had many years as an educator, dating back to the late 1980's, holding contracts in the primary grades K-3rd.  I have taught within the Byron Union School District since 2003, seven of those years in the 3rd grade. 

My philosopy is simple and straight forward. I believe in the possiblity of success for all students, big or small and have strength in adressing each student's needs both academically and socially.  I support a great deal of communication in the classroom amongst peers and am a strong avocate of facilitating children to problem solve.  There are three "umbrella" rules in which students are expected to comply to create a caring, thoughful and open environment in our classroom and around the school campus: Be Responsible, Be Safe and Be Respectful.  Lastly, I believe the education process involves input, clarification, and committment from student, parents and teacher.  Together, we are a team routing the road to success on this important educational journey.
